What is REBUILD?

REBUILD offers trauma-informed holistic support and expert-led resources for anyone navigating suicide loss. We are building a community together –blending psychoeducation, movement, meditation, breathwork, grief tools, and optional interactive sessions – all facilitated by Dr Sue Egan, Counselling Psychologist and EMDR specialist.

This isn’t about fixing you. You’re not broken.

It’s about reconnecting with your bodies intuition, your voice, and your future – alongside others who get it.

I'm READY

Whether you lost a partner, a child, a parent, or a friend – REBUILD is here to remind you:

Healing is not only possible. It’s your right as the one here and now.

What We”ll Build Together:

This isn’t therapy.

It’s a community space – deeply supportive, carefully held – to witness your grief, hear your needs, move trauma through your body, celebrate your loved one, find meaning in life and connect with others who will walk beside you.

Here’s what you can expect:

Topic of the Month – One video outlining the suicide grief topic of the month with Dr Sue Egan, exploring themes like:

Guilt, shame & the weight of “what if”
Parenting while grieving
Navigating work and identity after loss
Finding meaning and celebrating your loved one

These are pre-recorded to give you time to digest the information and do any reflective, practical work towards healing.Onboarding Call

Open Question Time – Ask questions about the topic of the month through the private discussion forum and receive answers throughout the month – either via chat or video.

Tea Club – Live meet-ups – where we can openly discuss the topic of the month with no recordings being made – come as you are, be heard, or simply listen.

3 Regular Monthly Grief Movement/Yoga/Meditation Sessions – Led by a skilled somatic practitioner, these gentle practices help you release stored tension and trauma from the body.

You don’t need to be “good” at meditation or yoga – just willing to give it a go.

Private Supportive Container – A private space (not on Facebook) filled with people who get it – no need to explain or justify your pain. This is where real connection lives.

Weekly check-ins, quiet encouragement, and honest conversations, so you never feel alone with what you’re carrying.

Optional small groups will form in time based on who you lost (partner, child, parent, etc.) to foster intimacy and real friendships in the community area.

Guest Speakers and Facilitators – We’ll periodically welcome guest speakers and trauma-informed practitioners offering workshops and talks on grief, healing through sound, movement, and other body-based release practices.

Movement Accountability Group – Grief can freeze the body. This group exists to support gentle movement – walking, stretching, or whatever feels right – with accountability and compassion.

Meditation Accountability Group – It isn’t easy to commit to regular meditation but it can transfer your body and mind to simply observe thoughts for a short time each day. Join others who wish to commit to regular sessions together – no pressure, just an invitation when you feel ready.

Regular Private & Group Feedback Sessions – For you to be heard in this space – share your views on the community and participate in future visions and developments to help all within.

Stories of Healing and Hope

Rhi

“From the very first time I reached out Sue created a space of genuine safety and compassion. She brought not only immense professional skill, but also something harder to define… I felt her deep humanity. She didn’t just “listen”, she truly saw me, held me in the depths of my pain, and helped me slowly rebuild a sense of peace”

Zarina

“Sue is highly skilled and knowledgeable in this area and is just fantastic at what she does. I couldn’t be more pleased I found her and whilst suicide grief is so hard and won’t ever leave me, I know I’d be struggling a lot more had I not met her.”

Kate

“Sue has made me rediscover who I am! Life’s challenges, including losing my Dad to suicide was too overwhelming to even know how to process and impacted and influenced my daily life. I lost myself but Sue has provided the support to help ‘process’ things, make things manageable by approaching life through a new ‘lens’ and ultimately finding and loving myself again! I will be eternally grateful.”

Frequently Asked Questions

This community is specifically for those navigating grief after suicide loss. While all grief is valid, suicide grief brings a unique set of challenges – from trauma and stigma to complex emotions like guilt, anger, and unanswered questions.

When the group was first created, it was open to all bereaved partners. Over time, it naturally became a powerful space for women navigating suicide loss, and has since remained a women-only community.

If your loss is not related to suicide, or if you’re unsure whether this is the right space for you, please feel free to reach out – we’re always happy to help you find the support that fits your experience.

Not at all. Whether your loss was recent or many years ago, grief doesn’t follow a timeline – and neither does healing.

This community welcomes you exactly as you are, whether you’re still feeling completely shattered, beginning to find your footing, or somewhere in between. Some members join in the early weeks after a loss; others arrive years later when they finally have space to tend to their grief.

There’s no “right” time – only your time. You’re welcome here whenever you’re ready.

To support those in the earliest, rawest stages of grief, we also offer dedicated small-group sessions for new members every 6 weeks – a gentle space to welcome you where you are, without pressure.

Not at all. This community is designed to support you – not overwhelm you.

You’re welcome to attend as much or as little as feels right. Some members come to every session, others drop in when they feel up to it, and some prefer to quietly absorb the resources in their own time.

There’s no pressure, no expectations – just show up as you are is always enough.

You’re absolutely welcome here.

This space isn’t just for those in early grief – it’s for anyone ready to reconnect, reflect, and rebuild life after suicide loss, no matter how much time has passed.

Whether you’re seeking fresh perspective, gentle structure, or simply want to be among others who understand this kind of loss, your presence will be both meaningful and valued.

Sessions will be held on Wednesdays or Thursdays at 7pm UK time, 2pm EST, 11am PST. There are also regular Sunday sessions at 5pm UK time, 12pm EST, 9am PST. Sessions last around sixty to ninety minutes and they are all recorded so if any are missed you can watch on replay (apart from the Tea Club which is a relaxed sharing session).
