Ten years ago, I lost my brother to suicide. I ne Ten years ago, I lost my brother to suicide.
I never imagined that experience would lead to creating Suicide Grief Support CIC.
Right now, we are small. But the vision behind it isn’t.
A future where no one is left to face suicide bereavement alone.
Where support is accessible, informed, and compassionate.
Where families feel met with understanding, not silence.
Where grief is better understood by the people and systems around it.
Over the coming months, we’ll be focusing on funding, partnerships, and building a community that can help us reach more people who need support.
If this resonates with you in any way, we’d really like to hear from you - we’re stronger together ❤️🙏❤️

Suicide Grief is now a Community Interest Company Suicide Grief is now a Community Interest Company (CIC)
That means any profit we make goes straight back into what this is really about; supporting suicide loss survivors and creating more spaces for healing, connection, and understanding.
This year we held our first retreat. It was quiet, powerful, and honestly transformational. A reminder of why this work matters so deeply.
We want to grow slowly and intentionally, creating more trauma-informed spaces where people can come together, feel less alone, and begin to heal in their own way.
Awareness, connection, hope and holding each other through it all.
Thank you for being here with us so far. We’re only just getting started, and we’re grateful for every step that’s brought us here - we’re stronger together ❤️🙏❤️

I know from both research and experience that many people find themselves trying to make sense of the suicide itself, asking questions about why their loved one died, while also wondering how others have managed to live with and navigate such a profound loss.
With that in mind, we have gathered a few resources that others have found supportive along the way.
📚 Books
• A Winding Road – Michelle Linn-Gust & John Peters
• Coping with Suicide Loss – Maggie Helen
• Grief After Suicide – John R. Jordan & John L. McIntosh
• A Voice for Those Bereaved by Suicide – Sarah McCarthy

Father’s Day can hold a lot of different meanings. Father’s Day can hold a lot of different meanings.
For some, it’s a day of celebration.
For others, it carries grief, questions, and quiet moments that are hard to put into words.
In this episode of ‘The Healing Narratives of Suicide Grief’ I’m joined by John Troutwine from the Will to Live Foundation, who shares his story after the loss of his teenage son Will to suicide; and how that loss became a mission to help others feel less alone.
We talk about what support can look like in real life, especially for teens and student athletes, the importance of connection and “life teammates,” and why breaking the silence around mental health matters more than ever.
John also speaks so openly about turning grief into purpose, and how hope isn’t about pretending everything is fine; it’s about believing change is still possible.
Thank you, John, for sharing your story with such honesty.
This conversation is for anyone navigating loss, supporting someone who is, or simply trying to understand how we can show up better for each other.
