My Story

If I hadn’t lived through it myself, I might not have believed how heavy grief can get – especially when you’re still raising children who need you.

When I lost my brother to suicide, my world split open. I wasn’t just grieving his death – I was studying counselling psychology, trying to hold it together for my kids, answering impossible questions, and functioning on the outside when everything inside me felt broken.

What I couldn’t have prepared for was that years later, I would walk a second path through this grief – this time supporting my own teenage son through his mental health crisis and his own suicidality. Holding space for him while still healing my own wounds became one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do.

There were days I couldn’t feel anything. Other days I felt everything, all at once – guilt, shock, anger, fear. I kept showing up. Working. Parenting. Pretending. And falling apart quietly at night when no one was watching.

It wasn’t until I found trauma-informed tools, a compassionate community, learnt how to understand how my teenager’s nervous system worked and had space to be real with my grief that healing slowly began. Not fixing. Not forgetting. Just learning how to feel again. How to breathe. How to live with the pain without being drowned by it.

I created this program because I know how isolating this path can feel. I know how many parents like you are still trying to carry everyone else’s needs on your back whilst inside, you are quietly breaking.

You don’t have to do this alone. There’s a way forward that honours your grief, your strength, and your story. And I would be honoured to walk that path with you.

You’re not failing. You’re grieving.

And that deserves understanding and acceptance, not pressure.

My 4-Step Process to Healing

Phase 1: Release

You’ll begin by gently releasing the pressure to be strong. We’ll create a safe space for you to breathe, feel, and name what’s really going on beneath the surface. You’ll learn how to calm your nervous system using EMDR resourcing methods, recognise your emotional patterns, and begin to let go of guilt and shame.

Phase 2: Regulate

This phase helps you build emotional steadiness. You’ll learn practical tools for managing overwhelming emotions, setting boundaries, and staying present in difficult moments – especially while parenting. You’ll start to feel more in control without pushing your feelings away.

Phase 3: Rebuild

Now that the ground feels steadier, we’ll focus on rebuilding your inner strength. You’ll understand more about your children and how to manage them whilst reconnecting with who you are outside of grief — your values, voice, and needs. You’ll begin to reimagine what life can look like while honoring what you’ve lost.

 Phase 4: Reclaim

In the final phase, we focus on reclaiming your life with clarity and intention. You’ll explore how to show up more fully — for yourself and your children — without losing yourself. You’ll leave with a personalised plan for continuing your healing journey, long after the program ends.

What you’ll get:

Twelve weeks of live group coaching: Join weekly 90-minute live sessions designed to support your nervous system, help you process grief safely, rebuild inner strength, and reconnect with what truly matters to you now.

Supportive private forum : Connect with a group of other parents who truly understand your journey. Share, listen, and grow together in a compassionate space. Seperate groups will form in time depending on different types of loss and different parenting roles.

Online video programme: A step-by-step weekly programme delivered on a private platform with videos, audio and written content for you to review as often as you like.

Practical self-care techniques with journal prompts, meditations and weekly challenges.

Learn grounding exercises, mindfulness, and reflective practices tailored to fit busy lives when you are often not able to put yourself first.

Learn valuable information about how suicide grief may affect you, your children and what to do when it does.

Insights into how your child or teen’s brain and body work, how they grieve differently to adults alongside helpful reflection prompts to consider the way you parent.

Individual planning session at the beginning of the course.

Individual follow up session 6 weeks after the course ends.

Optional healing retreat for women: Amplify your growth with an immersive 5-day retreat in the UK offering EMDR therapy, sound healing, and deep connection.

Optional individual EMDR therapy: One-on-one EDMR therapy to heal any trauma directly online.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

This programme was created with grieving parents in mind – particularly those raising children or teens after suicide loss. It’s open to anyone in a caregiving role: mothers, fathers, non-binary parents, step-parents, grandparents — anyone navigating the complex terrain of parenting through grief.

Whether your loss was recent or years ago, if you’re carrying emotional exhaustion, longing for healing, and want to support your children while rediscovering yourself – this space is for you.

Yes – absolutely. If you and your partner have experienced the same loss and would like to walk this path together, we welcome you both.

We offer a couples rate that includes:

  • Two individual Kajabi logins (so you can move through the material at your own pace).
  • Two personal workbooks and journaling spaces.
  • Shared access to the weekly Zoom coaching calls.
  • Optional reflection prompts designed for joint processing.
  • Access to the private community space with clear ground rules to protect all members.

Please note: This programme is not couples therapy. It is a coaching-based programme designed to support individual healing within a shared parenting journey.

No – this is not a therapy group.

Although the programme is trauma-informed and facilitated by a registered counselling psychologist and EMDR therapist (HCPC and BPS accredited), this course is not therapy, and your participation does not fall under those professional accreditations.

The Reclaim You programme is a coaching and psychoeducational space offering structured tools, emotional regulation practices, guided journaling, and peer connection. Zoom calls are an opportunity to reflect on your own learning through these materials. This programme is not suitable for crisis care or those requiring ongoing mental health support.

Reclaim You is a 12-week, structured coaching programme designed specifically for bereaved parents.

Each week includes:

  • A self-paced lesson module (with slides, videos, and guided tools).
  • Parenting reflections and EMDR-informed practices.
  • Weekly live group coaching calls (90 minutes).
  • Optional prompts and activities inside the community space.

All live calls are recorded and uploaded within 48 hours.

This is not a drop-in group – it’s a held, intentional programme with a clear beginning, middle, and end.

Due to the nature of the programme and the small-group, live interaction component, we do not offer refunds once the programme begins. Please read all course materials and reach out with questions before signing up to make sure it’s the right fit for you.

Weekly online calls are a place to:

  • Explore that week’s material more deeply.
  • Ask questions.
  • Receive direct guidance and support.
  • Connect with others in real-time.

These calls are facilitated by Dr Sue Egan, the course creator. You are always welcome to join with your camera off and simply listen. Sharing is encouraged, but never required.

This is not group therapy, but a professionally held coaching space. Calls are recorded and uploaded so you can revisit or catch up if you miss one.

Sessions will be held weekly on Wednesdays at:

  • 6:00pm UK (BST)
  • 1:00pm Eastern Time (ET)
  • 10:00am Pacific Time (PT)

If you’re joining from outside these regions, feel free to check your local time using this World Time Converter.

Grief is not linear. The course is designed to be flexible — you can go at your own pace. All materials and recordings remain available to you for 6 months after the programme ends.

You’re not expected to keep up perfectly. Showing up in whatever way you can is enough.

If you’re currently in crisis or require 1:1 mental health care, this group may not be the right container for you at this time. While the programme is trauma-aware, it is not designed for high-intensity emotional processing.

Your initial free consultation will assess your mental health and your suitability for the course.

We provide a list of recommended therapeutic resources and crisis support organisations inside the course for anyone needing additional help.

A Note for You

You don’t have to navigate this journey alone. Healing is possible, and it begins with connection, compassion, and the right support.

You don’t have to put on a brave face here.

You don’t have to carry the shame, the questions, or the grief alone.

There is no timeline for healing. But there is a path.

Let’s walk it—together.

You are not broken. You are grieving. And there is a way through.
